A Beautiful Weekend in Stanley, Idaho
After terrific snowfall it was a magical weekend in the mountains.
The temperature was around fifteen degrees with no wind and the valley floor had perhaps seven feet of snow. There were many people on snow machines and cross-country skis, as well as telemark skiers ascending the surrounding slopes for the well-earned turns on their way back down.
Hot springs abound and we soaked in water barely cool enough for the skin to still feel comfortable. It was relaxing and made me remember that there is more to life than work.
We will return again next year and may have to head back sooner if time allows this year.
